About i-ROK

The i-ROK Foundation is a non profit organization founded in 2009 when a member of our family was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma (ES). Kori Quinn was 13 years old when she was diagnosed with this rare bone cancer and received treatment at Children's Mercy Hospital located in Kansas City, MO.  Kori was an amazing young girl who LOVED the game of soccer and was passionate about everything, including her family, friends, school, and especially sports. Kori was a very focused, dedicated, and talented athlete and  an integral part of the Viati 95 Girls competitive soccer team. She was such a joy to watch as she had incredible speed !!

i-ROK is KORI spelled backwards as she is the inspiration for our family starting this foundation.  i-ROK is an empowering message....for anyone fighting the cancer battle needs to know that they do ROK! We all need to embrace a mantra that I matter and i-ROK.

It was a cold March night at soccer practice when Kori came up with the idea that i-ROK could also mean "Imagine getting Rid Of Kancer". We know kancer is not spelled correctly, but kancer is a word that no one should know how to spell. We love this idea Kori thought of as it is the basis for our foundation.

The i-ROK Foundation was formed to bring awareness to Ewing's Sarcoma, to save lives, empower people, to find cures, and to help people and organizations in a variety of ways as they battle cancer. Through events like an annual golf tournament and generous contributions from our partners, sponsors, and supporters, we dare to "Imagine getting Rid Of Kancer."
